Theatreworks

Theatreworks is a children and youth theatre workshop in which the participants spend three months scripting, directing, developing stage presence, and presenting a final production of their theatre project. During the project, the participants will understand the application of God’s truths as revealed in His word through discussion of the issues as presented in the play. They will use drama as a therapeutic means of expression and release and develop confidence and public speaking and presentation skills. The young people will also gain knowledge of planning skills as they plan and execute production schedules, and gain knowledge of financial planning and management as they plan and direct production budgets. They will develop, improve, and enrich creative writing skills; learn and use teaming, negotiation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and peer meditation skills.
