Homeless Ministry
“Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seeth the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?” Isaiah 58:7.
This outreach ministry is caring, dedicated, and committed to humbly serving a nourishing meal with a friendly, loving, and kindred spirit to those who are homeless and destitute in our community. The Homeless Ministry meets every Sunday in downtown Harrisburg to feed approximately 85 - 100 persons. The ministry provides meals faithfully each week despite adverse weather conditions. The Homeless Ministry also works with the Clothing Pantry to obtain clothes for the homeless and periodically seeks additional donations of blankets, gloves, scarves, and hats during cold weather months to distribute to the homeless. Pictured above is one of the many meals cooked and served by our Homeless Ministry.
