Trustee Ministry

”For as the body is one, and that many members, and all the members of that one body, being many are one body, so also is Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12

“Moreover, it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.” I Corinthians 4:2.

The mission of the Trustee Ministry is to faithfully serve as stewards of what God has placed in our charge by serving unconditionally and sacrificially, protecting the church to the best of our ability with wisdom, utilizing and managing resources as provided by God for His glorification in His creation, and holding each other accountable in love.

Trustees are stewards of all that we have been blessed to give. The Trustees must be wholeheartedly willing to perform their duties and responsibilities according to the Word of God. They must be of assistance to the Senior Pastor and a guardian to the congregation.

Trustee Min.Duties and responsibilities include the counting of weekly offerings and handling of any money received for Greater Zion such as: general, tithes, and special offerings; collection of monies for field trips; oversee the various ministry treasury reports and dues; account for ministry program funds like Awana fees and dues, MasterLife, conference and retreat fees, etc.

The Trustee Ministry maintains the master membership roster using Servant Keeper software system. They distribute offering envelopes and gleaners, maintain the offering envelope number system, and issue yearly giving statements at income tax time. The Trustees work closely with the Church Business Administrator to maintain the financial and other church business files and records.
